Activity 6 - Applying the 4Ps

natalie

What's a next step that you can take to apply a creative learning approach in your work or context? How can you tinker with projects, peers, passion, and/or play over the next two weeks?

In case it's helpful for reference, here's that creative learning postcard we have in our lab:

I moved a post to an existing topic: What happened in your breakout group?

Last week, something pretty great happened at work for one of my colleagues. I won't bore you with the details, but let's just say that she reached a huge milestone.

When it happened, it was late in the day, and most folks had already left. However, we were both so excited by her success that there was whooping and hollering amid the empty space. Then there were selfies with our "good luck cat" (see image above).

All in all, it was downright silly. We certainly could have shaken hands and smiled. However, our sense of play got the best of us. As we laughed and laughed, I realized that we all need play and celebration in our lives.

When something good happens, celebrate it. Be silly. Dance. All in all, it will make your work and your relationships more fulfilling.

As I reach the end of the Learning Creative Learning Course with MIT, we had to think of a way to embody the principles we've tried in the course. For me, it's the "Good Luck Cat" badge. Every time I want to play and celebrate, I'm breaking it out!

How do you play?
