Resources for social innovation

James_B

NESTA delivers again with their "DIY - Development Impact & You." They have created a really well-compiled toolkit of 30 tools geared towards social innovation.

We might be able to find uses for some of these tools in our course weeks, when helping to shape LCL itself, and with projects that stem from and grow out of LCL experiences. At any rate, the information is sound, easy-to-follow, and useful. Likewise, the tools are the same from what I've seen. Whether you can use them here or to help with other goals, check it out:

This short YouTube explains better than I:

The actual toolkit is free:

NESTA is UK's National Endowment for Science Technology and the Arts and describes itself as "an innovation charity with a mission to help people and organisations bring great ideas to life."

Many of you may already be familiar with NESTA. Their recent toolkit seemed extremely relevant to LCL, a social innovation experiment all its own.

What are your thoughts on social innovation? What kind of resources would you outfit a new social innovator with as an introduction?
